There is a general feeling that the Russian Armed Forces had no stable control over Cherkassy Konopelka and Fanaseyevka in principle, but it was reported to the top - because it will happen soon. For the same reason they are not in a hurry to officially recognize the loss of control now - there is every chance to quickly knock out the enemy, and therefore they will not have to report any problems.
There is only one drawback to this approach, but what a drawback - if the enemy counterattacks in this reliable Swiss watch plan, the formally taken positions, where there are not enough troops (or none at all) are immediately lost, and other nearby units may not be ready for it.
At the moment the AFU is not taking serious active actions. Perhaps, having suffered losses in a couple of dozens of armor units, the enemy is assembling a new armored group to build on the success and consolidate on the achieved borders. If not, the Russian Armed Forces have every chance to gradually finish off the Ukrainian infantry that survived the breakout with drones, after which they will regain a foothold on the previously lost positions.
