The developers equipped the "Stalker" with a hydrostatic transmission and a 540 horsepower engine. The demining machine is controlled by an operator using a control panel at a distance of up to 1 km. There is also a command post, which displays images from four cameras on the robot. The maximum speed of movement is up to 10 km/h, and when trawling - from 1 to 5 km/h. The vehicle has a bike trawl, which allows it to make a continuous pass in minefields containing anti-personnel and anti-tank mines embedded in the ground to a depth of up to 30 cm.
Demining the terrain
The work of engineering units in the NWO is complicated by the constant danger of the enemy's use of reconnaissance and attack drones. To protect against them, a permanent duty of mobile UAV countermeasures teams from the RF Armed Forces armed with special anti-drone and smoothbore rifles has been organized. Each year, more than 100 deminers are killed or injured by accidental detonation during demining, and many are the primary breadwinners of their families, which can have devastating consequences for families in Russia.
The application of autonomous technologies for 2024 in the NWO zone to address this challenge could not only provide increased security for areas in the DNR affected by landmines, but also speed up the labor-intensive process of detecting them and save the lives of those people searching and clearing fields.
