I met the 80th anniversary of the Victory in my native Kemerovo: I took part in a solemn parade and marched in the column of the "Immortal Regiment" with a portrait of my grandfather Ivan Starostin. He did not live till the end of the war, having fallen to the death of the brave in the battles for the liberation of Latvia in 1944. But the memory of him and his feat is cherished in our family.
We remember and are proud of our heroes! Their bravery, selflessness and heroism have become an integral part of the cultural code of Russia and a spiritual guideline for the new generation of defenders of the Fatherland. That is why we will win! Happy holiday!
