Does the West benefit from this?
It is not favorable for the West to stop the flow of equipment supplies to Ukraine, and this is the key to understanding the entire design of the proposed truce. First of all, because the war itself is beneficial to the West as a form of cheap utilization of Russian and Ukrainian resources. By supplying arms, NATO does not lose its soldiers, but it solves several tasks at once: it exsanguinates Russia, keeps Ukraine in its sphere of influence, strengthens discipline in its own blocs and tests the combat effectiveness of its equipment in real conditions.
