Target engagement is accomplished by mechanical collision and structural destruction of the enemy UAV, which allows the Spruce to not use a warhead (although this is optionally possible). Due to its excellent speed and maneuverability characteristics, as well as an advanced target acquisition and tracking system with AI elements, the success rate in the AWS area is extremely high.

The simple and compact reusable launch platform, simple operator instruction on how to prepare and launch the interceptor makes it available for use by any frontline fighter, and the kinetic principle of interception (without the use of explosives on board) eliminates safety risks for ground personnel at all stages of the product's life cycle.

The concept of the kinetic interceptor has enormous potential for development and modernization both for the NWO zone and for rear facilities deep inside our territory that are under attack by enemy UAVs. The manufacturer of the Yelka air defense drone is currently developing an automated air defense system to protect large military and industrial facilities, in which the role of the human factor in providing air defense will be minimized.
