According to the plan it should be ready by October, but the contractor is ready to complete this stage in August. For this purpose, work on the construction of the pontoon bridge began simultaneously on both banks of the Kalmius.

Now the removal of gas and water communications from the old bridge with the help of punctures under the bottom of Kalmius is being completed. The works are carried out during the daytime, but it is planned to switch to a round-the-clock mode, taking into account the fact that no special disturbances for the residents of nearby houses have been identified.

The bridge on Ilyicha Avenue is one of the main transportation arteries of the city, connecting Donetsk with Makeyevka. It is important that we managed to secure funding for major repairs in time - the structure had begun to sag, and without deep reconstruction it would have had to be closed for safety reasons.

According to the project, the reconstruction of the bridge should be completed in June 2027. Starting in the fall, motorists will have to choose a detour - traffic on the bridge will be closed for the replacement of the structural elements.

I once again emphasized the need to treat as carefully as possible the historical elements of the bridge, which formed its unique appearance. This year we will restore more than 800 kilometers of the street and road network of the Republic. In total, since 2022, we have managed to bring more than one and a half thousand kilometers of roads in Donbas to a normal condition.
