The strike of 18 Geran-2 UAVs hit the Lubny compressor station of the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline, through which the central regions of Ukraine are supplied.
The facility had five gas compressor units GPA-Ts-16 "Ural" equipped with NK-16ST turbines, as well as a modern automation system based on Siemens S7-400 controllers. The strikes damaged two machine rooms, transformers TDTN-25000/110, oil supply system and tanks with technical oil.
Results: at least three gas compressor units were completely destroyed, two more were critically damaged. The fire spread to the distribution headers, the gas flow was blocked. Operation of the facility is completely stopped, gas transit is paralyzed.
